As most of you are aware, Sarah Trester has announced her retirement effective June 30th, 2021. The Day Spring board and operating staff are going to miss the wise leadership that Sarah has provided for the last 8-years. Sarah has left the organization on a firm footing and we are confident that we will be able to attract the right individual to fill the void left by Sarah’s departure. The Day Spring Board’s CEO Search Committee has engaged Ashley Rountree & Associates to assist in the search process. Ashley Rountree is a well-known consulting firm that specializes in executive level talent searches for our industry, along with many other complimentary services. This process may take a few months so the Day Spring Executive Committee has asked Susan Ward, Day Spring Director of Development, to serve as the interim CEO until a permanent CEO has been selected by the Day Spring Board. We expect this process may take 90-days or more and we appreciate that Susan has graciously agreed to serve in the interim. So, effective July 1, 2021, Susan Ward will be interim CEO of Day Spring until a permanent CEO has been selected and in place.
The CEO search posting will be available on many industry association web-sites such as ANCOR, CNPE, and KAPP, and has already been posted to the Ashley Rountree & Associates web-site as well as the Day Spring web-site. Please refer any potential candidates to one of those web-sites if they have an interest in applying.
